I am a Mormon...married to Lisa. We have 5 awesome children. I am a gun rights advocate and believe the 'right to keep and bear arms' refers to an INDIVIDUAL right, as affirmed by the U.S. Supreme Court. I like to hunt big game, although I have only ever killed a single buck deer. I am an actor of sorts and have been in many local plays and musicals.

    A Psycho Weekend

I have been away from bloggerville for a few days. My apologies. We have been one busy little family. Besides the fact that the kids are in swimming lessons 3 days per week, we have had a few goings-on which have removed us from the TV and Internet. A plus, I might add. Anyhoo...Thursday we had a family reunion with Lisa's family, who all came up from Texas.

Beth, Bill and Bertha (Lots of B's, I know. I didn't include their daughter Bambi in the picture. Bambi, seriously.)

Then, Friday morning, I took 11 of our young men on an overnight hike to Lake Blanche. It's only a 2.7 mile hike to the lakes. However, that 2.7 miles comes at you pretty rough when you're ascending from 6,500 feet to over 9,000 feet in elevation. It's not an easy hike. But the boys loved it. We fished a lot, got sunburned (oh wait, that was just me), got blisters, made fire, fought mosquitoes, played Capture the Flag, and got really tired.

In the above pic, I asked the boys to rate the hike based on whether they would be attending next year. As you can see, there were a couple of nay-sayers.

While we men were in the wilds of Utah, Lisa and the other kids went to yet another family reunion with all the same Texas folks on Friday night. They just changed locations. Since we see them once every 2 years, we gotta spend as much time as possible with them. They are SUCH a hoot!

When we arrived home Saturday afternoon, we had to shower and get ready for our neighborhood block party, which is held annually in our circle (which translates to MY yard). Our former bishop's band plays for a pittance (some salad and hot dogs) and they're pretty good, for a cover band.

Then, Monday night, we went to yet another family reunion with the OTHER side of Lisa's family: The Blake's. The camera was on the fritz, so we only got one good picture of me and the kids in the swimming pool at Richard's house:

So, after it's all said and done, we are looking forward to a quieter week. Yeah, right.

Which Intelligence?

http://www.blogthings.com/whatkindofintelligencedoyouhavequiz/

My results: Your Dominant Intelligence is Interpersonal Intelligence

You shine in your ability to relate to and understand others. Good at seeing others' points of view, you get how people think and feel. You have an uncanny ability to sense true feelings, intentions, and motivations. A natural born leader, you are great at teaching and mediating conflict.

You would make a good counselor, salesperson, politician, or business person.
