It's been since high school since I've taken one of those color-coded personality tests. Back then I was about 90% yellow. And I'll bet my wife was 90% red...who was my girly-friend at the time. Since we married I'll bet I've acquired about 30% more red. My wife is still mostly red and she loosely tolerates my yellow-ishness, which I greatly appreciate.
I'm a husband of 13.25 years and a father of 4.9 children. What does that mean exactly? My wife is due to give birth to our 5th child on March 26, 2008. We were married in November 1994 and live in our quaint, beautiful neighborhood on exactly one-third of an acre. It's our happy little place and I don't think we'll be leaving it any time soon.
I'm not very good with the spoken word. At least, I don't think I am. I think I must be fairly good at writing, because I can bring my wife to tears on birthdays, anniversaries, and Valentine's Day if I really put some good thought into a nice letter or card. Thus the blog.
It's also a desire to count my blessings. I have many, I know. But I've felt the need to recognize them more. Perhaps I have been ungrateful and feel a need for change? I don't know. I'd love to be able to look back in 10 years at this little piece of the internet and say "Wow. I sure was blessed!"
My wife is my best friend. We talk at length every day and feel "off" if we skip a day. We try and make sure we connect on some level each and every day because we both need it. I'm pretty darn sure she loves me almost as much as I love her (she'll snicker at that).
I am a church-going, God-fearing man as well as a hunter, shooter, and 2nd Amendment supporter. I bevlieve that the Constitution of the United States serves as my permit to own and carry a gun and use it in the defense of myself and my family. I also believe in sustaining and defending the laws of this great and Chosen Land.
I am confident in who I am and my abilities and have gained even more confidence thanks to Lisa. She allows me a lot of freedom to develop talents and hobbies. This is my blog and I hope you enjoy it. I wear my emotions on my sleeve, so watch for some emotional posts!
