I am a Mormon...married to Lisa. We have 5 awesome children. I am a gun rights advocate and believe the 'right to keep and bear arms' refers to an INDIVIDUAL right, as affirmed by the U.S. Supreme Court. I like to hunt big game, although I have only ever killed a single buck deer. I am an actor of sorts and have been in many local plays and musicals.

    My Boss

For my siblings and family members, the title of this post will have a different meaning, taking into account certain childhood memories, thanks to Nathan.

    [smirk]

My favorite boss, Todd Atkinson, was laid off and Friday was his last day. His layoff was not a sound management decision. While it is understandable that sometimes companies have to "trim the fat", Todd was not a piece of fat. When they laid off Todd, they began cutting into the "muscle" of the company, thus damaging the company's overall profitability. Instead of a manager of 15 people, now we have a manager who is responsible for 40-50 people. In my specific field of IT, that is not a good thing. It will be nearly impossible for my new manager to take on the role which was formerly managed by 4 separate people. I feel for him, since it seems he is being set up to fail.

    Go Safeway.

As for Todd, I know he'll land on his feet. The guy could sell ice water to an Eskimo. He helped me become what I am and influenced me for the better. Here's to you, Todd!

Which Intelligence?

http://www.blogthings.com/whatkindofintelligencedoyouhavequiz/

My results: Your Dominant Intelligence is Interpersonal Intelligence

You shine in your ability to relate to and understand others. Good at seeing others' points of view, you get how people think and feel. You have an uncanny ability to sense true feelings, intentions, and motivations. A natural born leader, you are great at teaching and mediating conflict.

You would make a good counselor, salesperson, politician, or business person.
