I am a Mormon...married to Lisa. We have 5 awesome children. I am a gun rights advocate and believe the 'right to keep and bear arms' refers to an INDIVIDUAL right, as affirmed by the U.S. Supreme Court. I like to hunt big game, although I have only ever killed a single buck deer. I am an actor of sorts and have been in many local plays and musicals.

    Kickin' Cancer's "A"

On the night of June 27th Lisa, Bryce, Blake and Mitchell went to Gunnison High School and participated in an American Cancer Society relay. Lisa's brother is the seminary principal at Gunnison High School. The team consisted of Her brother, his wife, their kids, Lisa's dad and step-mother, and our family (I stayed back at the ranch with the 2 other youngins).

Why did we participate, you ask? As most of you know, Lisa's mom died from ovarian cancer in October 11, 1999. We hate cancer in our family and have a desire to see it obliterated from the earth. How's that?

Anyhoo, the relay was 12 hours long and someone from our team had to be walking on the track for the full 12 hours...which began at 6 PM and ran through the night. To avoid the heat of the day, they do the relays at night.

While someone from the team walks, they have tons of activities and things to do, as you can see from the pictures. Besides the entrance fee, we also bring our own little kiosk. Our team chose to sell snow cones. They sold about 200 of them and the boys had a blast. They had drawings for prizes as well. Bryce was the very first winner of a prize and he picked out a brand new fishing pole with all the trimmings. Overall they had a blast and came home very tired. They arrived home at 9 AM on Saturday and everyone slept for a few hours. We didn't even wake up Mitchell until 4 PM.

Total Raised for the American Cancer Society: $25,000

How wonderful that they were able to participate in something for such a good cause, and as a way to pay tribute to Lisa's mom. Very cool!

Which Intelligence?

http://www.blogthings.com/whatkindofintelligencedoyouhavequiz/

My results: Your Dominant Intelligence is Interpersonal Intelligence

You shine in your ability to relate to and understand others. Good at seeing others' points of view, you get how people think and feel. You have an uncanny ability to sense true feelings, intentions, and motivations. A natural born leader, you are great at teaching and mediating conflict.

You would make a good counselor, salesperson, politician, or business person.
